If you can't find any free space where you can place your new cloths and items, it may be time to clean out your closet and get rid of useless belongings. If you haven't organize your closet for a long time, you may need several hours to deal with the mess inside it.
- Before starting cleaning out the closet, make sure that the room is cleaned and tidied up. Otherwise, you'll make even bigger mess as you clean out the closet.
- Once you've ensured that the room is tidy, choose an area of the closet to focus on, such as the floor or shelves. This way, you'll save time and make cleaning less tedious and daunting.
- To make the deep cleaning of your closet more organized, take three boxes and label them with 'Out of Place', Garbage', and 'Charity'. If you prefer to hold a garage yard, in stead of giving your items to charity, mark one of the boxes 'Garage Sale'.
- When sorting the items from the closet, make sure that you evaluate each of them before placing it in one of the three boxes. It's unlikely to use belongings that you haven't utilized for the last 12 months, so you can get rid of them. You can trash them or sell them on a garage sale.
- Items that don't belong to the closet you found them in, need to be put in the box label with 'Out of Place'. It's a great idea to give these items the 12-month test, too.
- Once you've got rid of all useless items, it's time to organize your closet. Sort the belongings you want to keep into categories such as 'Summer Accessories'. You can place similar items together in bins and label the bins.
The deep cleaning of your closet is done! Just try to maintain the order of your items. If mess is a part of your nature, then make sure that you do clean out your closet on regular basis of time.
