How to Remove Nasty Soap Scum

You have managed to clean your hole house, you made your bathroom shine and there they are, your shower doors. They are all covered up in soap scum. The glass is dull and you can barely see through it. It may surprise you, but there is a really easy and cheap solution for your problem. You do not need any expensive commercial cleaners to clean your doors, all you need are some household products. Here is how to do it:

Pour some white distilled vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the doors of your shower. Here is a tip from cleaners Crouch End -while spraying, open and close the doors, this way the vinegar will reach all the small areas that you can't. Let the vinegar sit for 10 minutes. Another product you could use to clean your doors is vodka. Just spray it the same way as with the vinegar.

Soak a plastic scrubbing pad in some vinegar and scrub the entire shower doors. If there is any residue, scrape it of with a squeegee. Then rinse with clean water and wipe dry.

Another way to clean your doors is by mixing four parts of vinegar with one part of salt. This works very well on stubborn soap scum and it also cleans chrome fittings, but you should not leave it for long on chrome because combined together, they are corrosive.

If you have any marble surfaces, cleaners Crouch End remind that you should not use vinegar, because the acid might harm the stone's surface. For them use a paste made of from baking soda and water.

You might have to repeat the steps with the vinegar, because sometimes one try is just not enough.
