The Best All-Purpose Cleaner

Nowadays we read about how we have to live and clean green everywhere. If you run a search on the Internet you will find numerous recipes for home-made cleaning solutions, prepared of different everyday products.

There are different combinations of products, which are used for different house cleaning purposes. They all include baking soda, salt, vinegar, lemon juice, borax, essential oils, olive oil, citrus peels and others like these. There is only one cleaning solution, though, which can be used as an all-purpose cleaner. This is the vinegar/water solution.

The mixture of two tablespoons of vinegar and a litre (or sometimes less) of water can be used for a wide range of cleaning purposes. For example, you can use it: as a stain remover for carpet and upholstery stains; as a window cleaner; as a disinfectant; for cleaning the toilet, the bathroom, the fridge, and a lot more. This is the most universal cleaning solution.

Vinegar is used as an ingredient in almost all home-made detergents. It works when mixed with water, but if you add baking soda and salt to this mixture it will become stronger and more effective. There won't be a cleaning issue which this solution cannot deal with.

No matter of the purpose, we should learn how to live green, if we want to leave some heritage to future generations. Chlorine and petroleum-based detergents are some of the worst polluters on the planet. They are dangerous, not only for the environment, but for ourselves, too. We should avoid using them when dealing with house cleaning issues.
